Play with Clay

To involve people in the biblical image of God as the potter shaping our lives, we gave each worshiper a small ball of clay in a Ziploc© bag to hold in their hands throughout the service. After quoting 2 Corinthians 4:7, that we are clay jars, we asked people to form their clay into a vessel as a symbol of their desire to be a vessel of God's goodness and grace. Another idea is to invite people to form the clay in any meaningful shape and bring it forward to leave as an offering to God.
